STREET FIGHTER 2 GUILE PROFESSIONAL
Solid, professional trance arrangement of a tune in need of some lovin' from Rayza - I still felt like it was missing that one little detail, those few bars, or that one original harmony that makes an indelible mark upon ears and mind, which most of his other mixes have. The ending is sorta downbeat, with a lonesome bell pad augmenting the underbelly of the track as it fades out on a resonant synth pad. Could have gone a bit further on the programming for the lead - mix it up a bit, break to a duo at one point, or something - but the vibrato by itself still adds some life. You got your offbeat sub-bass, delayed and verbed trance synths, gating effects, snare rolls, kick-kick/clap drums, and a smooth, gliding mono-lead that has some nice vibrato trails. Okay, fine, it might not actually qualify as "titillating", I just threw that in there for alliterative purposes. But enough tangential anecdote - Rayza delivers as usual with a tight, titillating techno track. I'm still up in the air as to whether I'll complete my own rendition, switch genres, or what, as Rayza's take is good and satisfies the aching need for some Guile electronica in the halls of OCR.

I thought I could count on Rayza to mix the obscure Tinheads of the gaming world, but in this case he beat me to the punch (or should I say, "Sonic Boom") with a techno arrangement of Guile's tunage. For the first time, I ran into something myself that I'd seen other ReMixers come up against: you've just started working on a mix, and someone else completes a mix of the same song, from the same game, in essentially the same genre. Rayza gives us our first Guile mix from the beloved, original Street Fighter 2, in a trance/techno fashion. While still holding START, press any punch or kick button to enable Evil Ryu.The "R.A.H." here stands for 'Real American Hero', referring both to the nationality and G.I.Joe-ness of the track in question's namesake. Return to Ryu and hold START for five seconds.
